Sanford and BoatTree Marina

Sunset @ Boat Tree Marina looking East from the Cafe. We enjoyed our stay at Boat Tree. Kristy made us feel welcome and helped us with any question we had. Kristy took care of us! We would have stayed except we had issues with the dock and safety.

The river is very pretty this time of the year. We were at Boat Tree for February , March, April and left to explore the lower river in May

The docks are teak and extremely worn and in sad shape

This is the E Dock where we found room on a 50 ft dock. The finger piers on the 40 ft docks are too short to get on and off on the side.

Suzsea met a friend that could almost be her daughter.

The catfish are like the turtles almost tame

Lots of neat places on the river to explore

This wooden boat is abandoned

Needs Work!

Rayna and Suzsea on E dock

You have to watch your step on the dock as temporary repair plates and missing, broken and rotted places abound.

I bolted our steps down as the finger pier moves as you get on or off

This was the gate at top of steep ramp.

Sanford farmer's market on Saturdays

Good selection and prices

The oddities of hand made crafts

Boat Tree Marina basin from the top of the old dock

Covered slips

Cafe is good for lunch and breakfast, happy hour is a nice touch. Prices and food is good.

A and B Docks looking from the Shower/laundry and pool area.

Looking East on E dock

Looking West on E dock

We kept our 18 ft CC next to us in empty slip

A wooden boat show

A visit to Winter Park. An easy day trip from Sanford

Gemini Spring near Boat Tree

A Florida State park

We walked this from the old docks for the ferry to the cafe. A employee warned us about the plywood over the crossties. We could have fallen through. Nothing was said by management.

We did enjoy oir stay and the people were wonderful and treated us very good. We just were cautious of the docks.

Another cat fish

This was the dog walk area. A boater had 3 big dogs and he let them run loose. He also did not pick up after them. Another boater painted the piles with orange spray paint. We complained about this situation. Then the little dachshund Rayna was bitten by one of the dogs running loose. Good management could have prevented this.

Many turtles come to eat by the dock along with gators and manatees

The electrical power was good but the pedestal was loose.

A soft shell turtle lays eggs.

Jean feeds the turtles at the finger pier

The yellow houseboat is for sale or rent.

The outdoor dining area. The internet worked here and nowhere else. The ladies can get their hair fixed at Sherry's . Sherry was exceptional making us feel welcome.

Jean and her fish!

Swamp right behind the boat

Gators and turtles

Fish, They said Bass were caught here but we did not catch any, Lots of bream and cats
